This was by far the best moving experience of my life, and I’ve moved A LOT. Amir was punctual and professional and explained everything in advance during the free in-home estimate. His was by far the most affordable quote so I went with him. I moved from NJ to Baltimore, MD: On the first day, for packing and loading the truck, the guys arrived EXACTLY on time even after having stopped outside to help my friends load their car outside. They worked extremely diligently and didn’t break or damage a thing. Amir’s estimate for packing supplies was within TEN DOLLARS!!! I thought that was amazing and yet I wasn’t stressed anyway because he had explained his policy that I could only be charged a maximum of ten percent over his estimate. The guys were extremely polite, professional and accommodating. They even showed me how some damage had been made to my couch with prior moves due to inexpert handling. On day 2 they again arrived in extraordinarily punctual fashion, even in spite of an interstate move and inclement weather. They assembled everything perfectly and went above and beyond in helping me get everything set up. I was even able to do a lot of unpacking as we went and they were kind enough to haul the empty boxes for me. I cannot recommend Movers 201 more highly, they have my full endorsement. I called them a few times and they were so pleasant and helpful. The day of, they called to let me know they were coming. They wrapped everything and were so happy and helpful. They tried to meet the time I was quoted so I wouldn’t haven’t have to pay extra. They even helped me arrange my new apartment in the best way possible! I would recommend this company to anyone who was moving. They are awesome!

So here goes… Initially, I got a quote of $129 per hour for 6 to 7 hours plus a travel charge. Tony, the main guy, came with 2 helpers right on time at 9am. They took care of my stuff as if it was their own. Padded and wrapped everything. Took extra care of fragile stuff. And even removed a TV off the wall for me. They were done with the entire move in about 3 hours. This includes a three story walk-up on one end and a single story house on the other. They asked where to place every item in the new location so we just arranged everything and we were good to go. The only thing that was damaged during the entire move was a light bulb. Pretty good if you ask me. I had quite a few other moving companies come and give me an in-person quote after looking at my stuff and you wouldn’t believe the prices. $855!! $1072!! $1380!! A lot of these other companies were using nickel-and-diming techniques charging extra for wardrobe boxes and TV boxes. These guys supplied everything! And when I say everything, I mean everything! Padding, TV boxes, wardrobe boxes, etc. Basically, couldn’t be happier with these guys. Would use them again and recommend them to anyone that needs movers.

I recently hired them to move some furniture and boxes out of my house into another relatives house – and to move some furniture internally within the house. I paid by the hour for 3 men and a truck. They worked VERY QUICKLY and efficiently. They were very professional in everything they did. They wrapped all my furniture (Beds, dressers, couches) so that neither the furniture nor the walls in the house would be damaged. I had a few loose lamps that I asked them to transport – and they insisted on keeping them safe by packing them in boxes. The 3 men were also a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend using Movers 201.

Amir and his team were great with both moves and their prices were very reasonable. I recommend them highly!

He kept them accountable and was efficient. Most importantly, he knew exactly what he wanted to pack first and how to best protect the big ticket items. I will use them again and I already referred them to a friend.

4.0 star rating 4/26/2014 On Yelp.com I was really very happy with my recent move with Movers 201. Scheduling the estimate was a bit difficult, but Amir (owner) couldn’t have been nicer when he showed up. Their estimate was about 30% lower than other companies. I was being charged for 1/2 hour travel and $129 per hour, which included everything – 3 guys, a truck, wrapping, padding, use of wardrobe boxes the day of the move, etc. The other companies I consulted with charged at least 1 hour travel and $150 per hour, and none of them offered the use of free wardrobe boxes. My ultimate charge was about 1 hour more than the estimate, but I wasn’t quite as prepared as I should have been, and the new place has lots of stairs. The day of the move, the guys were about 40 minutes early. They were professional and efficient, and so sweet and likeable! They wrapped everything so carefully. I was comfortable with all 3 guys and trusted that my belongings were in good hands. My parents have already said that they’ll be hiring them when they sell their house. I felt good about hiring a local business that’s family run as well. I highly recommend them!

5.0 star rating 8/6/2014 Movers201 is the real deal family owned/run moving company! I searched high & low for an honest company to do a long-distance move June 2014 from NJ to IN. I had an in home estimate from 3 other companies who quoted me an astronomical price for the (small) move & kept adding on more fees without explanation. A friend of mine used Movers201 for her move in April 2014 & was pleased, so I emailed them & was not disappointed. My move turned out to be a complicated one. From day one Amir came to my home for an estimate, was friendly & up front with a quote I could afford. He was honest & NEVER said there was something they COULD NOT DO! My move was just over a small load & other movers tried to push using 2 trucks & charging me twice. Not Movers201, they gave me an honest estimate & stuck to the price. They showed up on time & packed my items quickly & with care, Unfortunately while my belongings were in route I traveled to IN to check on the property I would be staying at only to find out that the conditions were uninhabitable (rats, bugs & no running water! I learned my lesson in trusting “FAMILY” to assist me) I was immediately in a panic, I called Amir & told him the situation & he put me at ease, quoted me a reasonable extra fee to have the driver who was in Chicago bring my belongings back to NJ. I was thrilled. No one likes to re-trace their steps, but this was a situation that could not be avoided. I sincerely want to thank Movers201 for working with me especially through unforeseen circumstances! I want to thank everyone I can remember Jess, Amir, Tony, Anthony, Richie & anyone else I failed to remember. I will definitely be using Movers201 for my next “LOCAL” move.
